Lake Area

The lake area of Rolling Green is private property owned by the Rolling Green Community Association, Inc., and is for the exclusive use of RGCA members and their guests. Much of the RGCA annual budget is spent on maintaining the lake, dam and green space around the lake.

For rules regarding usage of the lake area, please click here.

Access

The appropriate way to access the lake is via the open area located on Whitefield Road. Only a portion of the shoreline is open to RGCA members and their guests (see illustration). Please do not walk through our neighbors' private property to reach the lakeshore.

Swimming and Fishing

The beach area is for swimming and sunbathing. For everyone's safety, please do not use glass containers in the beach and pier areas. Fishing is not permitted from the beach area or from the pier. Lost hooks can cause injuries. Those interested in fishing may walk to either side of the sandy area or to the grassy spillway which is beyond the dam. Please do not fish from the dam embankment. Foot traffic on the dam can increase erosion of the embankment.

Picnic and Grass Area

Picnic table and grills have been added to the green space area for the enjoyment of RGCA members. Pleas use only charcoal in the grills and make sure all fires are extinguished before leaving the picnic area. Please do not litter. Trash cans are available at the lake for your convenience, but we do not have pick-up service. As a courtesy, please bag your trash and take it home with you for disposal.

Parties

If you are an RGCA member and would like to have a party at the lake (e.g., birthday, graduation, retirement, etc.), please fill out the Lake Event Form (see below) and email it to our Lake Chair (lake@rollinggreenonline.com).

For groups larger than 20 people, approval from the RGCA Board of Directors is required. Larger gatherings do not have exclusive use of the lake and recreation area. As always, members are responsible for the conduct of their guests and must be present at all times when guests are at the lake.
